Warehouse Associate

This is for a 3 month contract, with a possibility of an extension

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing various warehouse duties such as receiving, inputting, sorting, and loading.

• Process, package and receive/ship orders.
• Organize stocks and maintain inventory.
• Inspect products for defects and damages.
• Perform kitting operations for production.
• Kitting for spools and electrical units.
• Examine incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Organize and maintain warehouse space.
• Check, verify and fill customer invoices.
• Work closely with shipper/receiver.
• Assisting with shipping and receiving activities.

• High school diploma.
• Warehouse experience.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Team player.
• First Aid training and WHMIS knowledge would be an asset.

• Works closely with production employees.

• Mostly indoors in warehouse and stockroom, some outdoor work required for unloading shipments.
• Will be required to work on feet for long periods of time.
• Fast paced work environment.
• Occasional overtime, weekends.
• Required to use safety and personal protective equipment when on the production floor.
• Dusty environment.
• Must be able to work standing up for entire shift.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be capable of operating polishing equipment or grinder for entire shift.
• Must be capable of working at heights.
