Oban Dental Clinic is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Dental Nurse to join our friendly team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in dentistry. We will fully fund your Dental Nursing qualification and provide the training, support and hands-on experience you need to become a qualified Dental Nurse. You'll learn alongside our experienced clinical team while earning a salary from day one.

Hours

34 hours per week across four days:

  • Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 8:45 am – 6:00 pm
  • Wednesday: 8:45 am – 7:00 pm
About Oban Dental Clinic

Located within the grounds of Lorn and Islands Hospital and less than half a mile from Oban town centre, our modern practice offers:

We provide a full range of NHS and private dental treatments, including cosmetic dentistry and dental implants, giving you the opportunity to gain experience across a wide variety of procedures.

What you’ll be doing
  • Supporting dentists during patient treatment
  • Preparing surgeries before and after appointments
  • Cleaning and sterilising instruments
  • Maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control
  • Supporting patients throughout their visit
  • Updating patient records
  • Helping with the day-to-day running of the practice
What we’re looking for
  • An enthusiastic individual with a genuine interest in dentistry
  • A willingness to learn and complete the Dental Nursing qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A friendly, caring and professional approach
  • Someone who enjoys working as part of a team
  • Customer service or healthcare experience is desirable but not essential
