Operations Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Assistant to join the Majestic Line team based in Oban. This role plays a vital part in providing shore support to our fleet of four vessels and ensuring the smooth running of daily operations. You will work hands‑on across logistics, provisioning, guest changeovers, and operational planning to help maintain the high standards of quality, safety, and service that the Majestic Line is known for.

• Assist with the loading, unloading and safe handling of supplies and equipment for all vessels
• Pack and prepare linen supplies ahead of departure day
• Manage uniform provisioning and coordinate with external laundrette suppliers
• Ensure timely delivery of stock from external suppliers, checking all orders for accuracy
• Drive company vehicles to transport provisions to and from vessels
• Assist in meeting and greeting guests on cruise departure days
• Ensure luggage is correctly allocated to the appropriate vessel
• Keep the depot clean, tidy and well‑organised to support efficient operations
• Provide support to the General Manager with day‑to‑day logistics and operational planning

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
• A positive, team‑focused attitude
• A clean driving licence (essential)
• Experience in logistics, hospitality, or the cruising industry (desired, but not essential)
• Willingness to work weekends as part of the regular rota
