Office of Student Leadership & Involvement Programming Assistant

Job Summary

The Office Programming Assistant will serve the campus community as part of the Office of Student Leadership and Involvement's daily operations.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Service:
    Warmly greet and provide stellar service to a diverse mix of patrons, including students, staff, faculty and community members.
  • Office Duties:
    Perform regular office duties (answering e-mails and telephone calls, typing memos, preparing mass mailings, tabulating data, filing, etc).
  • Student

    Activities:

    Design posters and display cases advertising various campus events. Maintain and administer website and social media platforms used for advertising. Assist in the design and placement of display ads in local newspapers, placement of ads on local cable and radio. Assist in other duties related to campus events. Assist department assistant with regular office duties. Coordinate front‑of‑house activities and performer hosting for select programs.
  • Maintain agent and performer database files.
Qualifications
  • Be responsible, and self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • The ability to work with close attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy is required.
  • Good problem‑solving abilities are required along with basic artistic abilities (for creating posters and online advertisement designs).
  • Art experience is desired, but not required.
  • General office experience, typing, and familiarity with MAC computers required: word processing, spreadsheets, databases & poster‑making software.
  • Applicants must be trustworthy and responsible.
Additional Information

You must be an enrolled student at Oberlin College & Conservatory to qualify.
