Join as a field technician at Monitoring, Control and Compliance (MCC), a small privately‑owned business focused on operating and maintaining landfill gas systems to reduce methane emissions and provide green energy.

Location:

Oberlin, OH.

• Operate and maintain landfill gas collection systems, ensuring maximum efficiency and compliance.
• Conduct routine on‑site monitoring, troubleshooting, and diagnostics of system malfunctions.
• Maintain daily logs, read system data, and verify corrective actions.
• Communicate with supervisors and clients to ensure project success.
• Follow company safety policies, use PPE, and support after‑hours call‑outs as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of company vehicle, all‑terrain vehicle, and work areas.

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
• Proficient use of Windows and Office software (Excel, Outlook, Adobe).
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude; safe use of hand tools.
• Detail oriented, organized, self‑starter with initiative.
• Ability to operate all‑terrain vehicles in varying conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must pass pre‑employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check.

• Experience operating landfill gas systems or related education.
• Knowledge of environmental sampling techniques.
• Current OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification.
• Pipe fusion certificate.
• Knowledge of basic math, gas chemistry, piping and instrumentation drawings.
• Electrical, chemical, and mechanical experience.

• 100% outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Walk long distances on all terrain; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl as needed.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Use personal protective equipment daily (boots, glasses, vest, gas monitoring).
• Able to travel overnight up to 30%.
