Overview
Multi-Modality Technologist - Weekends Only – Allen Hospital. This role is with Bon Secours Mercy Health. It is a weekend-only program with 24 hours per week (12-hour shifts) scheduled from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, typically on weekends. This is a collective bargaining unit position.
Responsibilities- Performs duties for any two imaging modalities (e.g., XR, CT) and operates related equipment.
- Meet continuing education or clinical requirements as required by regulatory standards.
- Manage workflows and procedures for the two imaging modalities; select appropriate imaging/sequences with adherence to approved protocols.
- Obtain patient clinical history and relevant lab work, ensuring documentation for licensed practitioners; may use POC devices for lab work.
- Apply safety principles to minimize risk to patient and staff; provide radiation and modality-specific protection.
- Verify patient identification and procedure requests; perform venipuncture and administer medications/contrast as prescribed when required.
- Use power injectors for contrast administration following manufacturer guidelines.
- Work on-call as required.
- Licensing/Certification: ARRT, RDMS, or CNMT (required); competency in two modalities with certification within 12 months (Radiologic Technology, CT, Ultrasonography, Mammography, Vascular Sonography, RVT); BLS preferred on hire (must obtain prior to direct patient care); state licensure preferred where required.
- Education:
Associate's degree from ARRT-accredited program or approved Nuclear Medicine/Ultrasound program (preferred). - Experience:
1 year in a healthcare environment (preferred). - Training: EPIC EHR, PACS, RIS, IV contrast administration (preferred).
- Language:
None specified. - Patient Population:
Neonates to geriatrics; not applicable to this position for some populations.
