Join Adept Ag as a Manufacturing Engineer and Quality Co-Op in Oberlin, OH for Spring 2026.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer and Quality Co-Op to join our dynamic Engineering team. The role is an integral part of the Agri Nomix Production Team. The co‑op will focus on improvements to manufacturing efficiency, cost reductions, and design changes.

Responsibilities- Perform equipment build time studies using Agri Nomix‑developed process.
- Mark up drawings to correct mistakes and improve build efficiency, with an emphasis on Design for Manufacturability.
- Research process and component changes to generate cost savings.
- Conduct quality component inspections and dimensional verification on incoming parts to ensure adherence to company specifications.
- Perform in‑process machine inspections and audits during assembly to verify compliance with design requirements and quality standards.
- Assist with final machine inspections, functional checks, and documentation prior to shipment.
- Identify and report nonconformances; assist in root‑cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities.
- Develop testing or measurement methods to inspect incoming material or sub‑assemblies.
- May assist with component and machine inspections to ensure adherence to company quality standards.
- Promote continuous improvement – research industry standards in relation to Agri Nomix’s products and company goals.
- Make suggestions that will further strengthen internal quality and production systems.
- Create and/or modify work instructions, policies, procedures, and flow charts.
- Develop assembly processes for small sub‑assemblies including floor layouts, tools required, and min/max quantities.
- Present improvement plans to upper management for approval.
- Learn basics of 5S and help plan and implement facility improvements.
- Enrolled in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or similar program and working toward an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.
- Commitment to continuous learning.
- Ability and willingness to think outside the box and question the status quo.
- Ability to use measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.
- Ability to read and understand machine component drawings.
- Strong knowledge of Windows (Word and Excel) with the ability to learn Smartsheet and Microsoft Teams.
- AutoCAD and Solid Works skills a plus.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience in creating reports and collating data.
- Strong mechanical skills.
