Position Summary
The Sanitation Lead is a hands‑on leader responsible for executing sanitation operations while ensuring documentation accuracy, audit readiness, and supply availability across multiple facilities. This role performs all duties of a Sanitation Associate and serves as the point person for standards, consistency, and compliance
. The Sanitation Lead balances floor execution with administrative oversight to ensure sanitation programs meet food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements at both the Obetz and Green Pointe facilities.
This is a working leadership role — accountability starts on the floor and extends to the paperwork that proves the work was done right.
Key Responsibilities - Core Sanitation Responsibilities (Working Lead)- Perform all sanitation duties outlined for the Sanitation Associate role, including cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, work spaces, and facility areas
- Execute daily, weekly, and periodic sanitation tasks in accordance with SOPs, GMPs, and food safety requirements
- Safely handle, mix, and apply approved cleaning chemicals
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment as required for thorough cleaning
- Identify sanitation, safety, or equipment concerns and elevate appropriately
- Monitor, review, and verify sanitation paperwork, logs, and checklists for accuracy and completeness
- Perform light data entry related to sanitation records, compliance tracking, and audit documentation
- Ensure sanitation documentation supports audit and inspection readiness at all times
- Prepare for and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits and inspections
- Track sanitation supplies and chemical inventory; provide timely updates and replenishment requests
- Maintain consistent sanitation standards across both Obetz and Green Pointe facilities
- Provide on‑floor guidance, direction, and support to sanitation associates
- Partner with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve sanitation‑related issues
- Act as a communication bridge between sanitation teams and leadership
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks
- Comfortable standing, bending, climbing, and working in wet or cold environments
- Ability to work in varying temperature zones depending on facility and assignment
- Ability to travel between Obetz and Green Pointe facilities as required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior sanitation experience in a food manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment required
- Previous lead, trainer, or informal leadership experience strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage both hands‑on work and documentation
- Basic computer skills and comfort performing light data entry
- Working knowledge of GMPs, food safety standards, and sanitation best practices
- Strong communication skills and the ability to hold others accountable to standards
- Reliable attendance and schedule flexibility to support operational needs across both facilities

- Must demonstrate reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
