Responsibilities- Prepare complex financial statements, including month‑end and year‑end closing documents.
- Prepare payroll tax and sales tax returns and supervise their preparation.
- Write and adjust journal entries.
- Supervise accounting staff and review work of Accounting Clerks, Associates, and Senior Accountants.
- Resolve complex accounting issues and provide recommendations.
- Maintain client confidentiality and ensure quality control.
- Assist the Tax and Audit departments with supporting documentation for financial statements.
- Provide advanced internal and external software consulting, training, and promotional classes.
- Adhere to federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- 3+ years of experience in public accounting.
- 1+ year in a supervisory position.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping.
- Experience in Construction, Healthcare, Manufacturing, or Real Estate.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software systems such as Quick Books, Sage Intacct, Sage MAS 90, MIP, CCH Axcess, BILL, or ADP.
- Certified Public Accountant.
