Commercial Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Estimator to support a growing development operation with a diverse range of projects.

• Prepare and maintain detailed cost estimates and budgets.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using construction drawings, concepts, and specifications.
• Solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers; conduct scope reviews and bid leveling.
• Provide cost input during design development, value engineering, and project phasing.
• Support permitting and entitlement processes with accurate cost data tied to project scope.
• Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, interior designers, and project managers to ensure designs align with budgets.
• Track material and labor cost trends across Central Florida.
• Support construction transitions with bid summaries, cost breakdowns, and scope clarifications.
• Assist with project cash flow planning and overall financial forecasting.

• 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction.
• Residential or site development estimating experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience with mixed‑use or master‑planned environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with county permitting, zoning, and utility coordination is beneficial.

• Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid math skills (LF, SF, volume and area calculations).
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
• Highly organized, efficient, able to multitask.
• Proficient with estimating software (Bluebeam, Plan Swift, Excel, or similar).
• Ability to read and interpret civil, architectural, structural, and MEP plans.
• Understanding of commercial building methods; residential/site knowledge is a plus.
