Expanded Duties Dental Assistant

We’re recruiting an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant for a full‑time position at Heartland Dental in Ocala, FL. The role offers growth potential within a supportive team that values professionalism, teamwork, and a patient‑first care approach.

• Assist the dentist with clinical procedures and patient management.
• Take and develop dental X‑rays and maintain lab equipment.
• Record medical and dental histories, vital signs, and manage emergencies.
• Provide post‑operative instructions and patient education.
• Maintain clinical supplies, work efficiently to support the dentist’s schedule, and adhere to OSHA and company safety policies.

• Positive, outgoing personality with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent patient care and organizational skills.
• Superior knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Good manual dexterity and computer proficiency.
• Ability to build rapport with patients.
• Dental assisting school certificate (plus). Previous work experience in a dental practice (plus).
• Travel at least once every other month for training, occasionally overnight.
