Job Overview

Meadow Ranch Dental Care is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join a patient‑focused team in the Ocala area. The role emphasizes collaborative support, state‑of‑the‑art technology, and continuous learning to make a meaningful impact on patient care.

• Welcome patients and provide education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Capture x‑rays and diagnostic images using iTero 3‑D scanner, digital photography, and other equipment.
• Assist dentists with chairside procedures, following state dental practice act requirements.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms, maintaining safety protocols, including OSHA and CDC recommendations.
• Manage supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
• Certification as a dental assistant or x‑ray technician (if required by state).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to protect PHI; completion of regular HIPAA training required.

• 1+ year in a dental setting.
• Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software.
• Dental assisting school certification.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
• Availability for virtual or in‑person training sessions throughout the year.
• Require TB test for all new hires in dental office positions; completed prior to start date.
