Job Overview
Meadow Ranch Dental Care is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join a patient‑focused team in the Ocala area. The role emphasizes collaborative support, state‑of‑the‑art technology, and continuous learning to make a meaningful impact on patient care.
Responsibilities- Welcome patients and provide education throughout treatment.
- Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
- Capture x‑rays and diagnostic images using iTero 3‑D scanner, digital photography, and other equipment.
- Assist dentists with chairside procedures, following state dental practice act requirements.
- Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
- Prepare treatment rooms, maintaining safety protocols, including OSHA and CDC recommendations.
- Manage supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed.
- Collaborate with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.

- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.

- Certification as a dental assistant or x‑ray technician (if required by state).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to protect PHI; completion of regular HIPAA training required.
- 1+ year in a dental setting.
- Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software.
- Dental assisting school certification.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
- Availability for virtual or in‑person training sessions throughout the year.
- Require TB test for all new hires in dental office positions; completed prior to start date.
