Focused on delivering outstanding clinical service in a novel care model, you will collaborate with a dedicated and excellence-driven team to shape the future of emergency care at our new Ocala Neighborhood Hospital.

The UF Department of Emergency Medicine proudly maintains an affiliation with UF Health Shands Hospital, a distinguished 1,162-bed teaching facility renowned for its Level 1 trauma center and cutting‑edge burn center. As the primary referral center for North Central Florida, our institution stands as a beacon of excellence in healthcare. This affiliation underscores our commitment to top‑tier medical care and innovation.

• New hospital, fresh start. Be among the first to practice in a purpose‑built micro hospital using an innovative care model.
• Manageable volume. Fewer than 10,000 visits expected in year one.
• Flexible scheduling. Twelve 12‑hour shifts/month.
• Team‑first culture. Work alongside a tight‑knit, collaborative group. Collaborate with nursing, advanced practice providers, and hospital leadership
• Academic connection. Maintain a direct affiliation with UF’s main Emergency Department in Gainesville.
