Join to apply for the Multi-Unit Team Leader role at H&R Block.
You will provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices as a front-line manager, developing and supporting customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business. This role starts on a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transitions to full-time from January to April, with evening and weekend hours as needed. This role is in-person and not remote.
Responsibilities- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders
- Partner with the District General Manager (DGM) to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement
- Assist the DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office associate positions
- Conduct timely performance reviews and partner with the Associate Relations Center to resolve associate issues and address performance concerns
- Build an engaging team environment across all offices by training and coaching associates and recognizing outstanding contributions
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates
- Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management for associates in all offices
- Travel between offices as required
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment*
- People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates
- Aptitude for executing growth plans and fostering a growth-oriented culture
- Strong decision-making and judgment skills; able to operate in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset
- Computer proficiency, including MS Office
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns)*
