Cost Accountant – E-ONE

The Cost Accountant reports directly to the Controller. Assist in product costing, data processing, inventory controls, expense budgets, month‑end closing, forecasting, and capital appropriations.

• Assist in establishing material, freight, labor and overhead standards; perform monthly variance analysis.
• Prepare performance records, anticipate sales and cost to develop business forecasts for planning purposes.
• Maintain product pricing and costs in computer system; audit BOM accuracy.
• Reconcile monthly freight between projected freight costs and payments; ensure sufficient freight accrued.
• Ensure compliance with all government tax regulations.
• Prepare month‑end close standard journal entries and confirm COGS accuracy; complete variance analysis with department managers and Controller.
• Produce all reports necessary for month‑end closing; maintain permanent accounting records.
• Provide support to sales department to negotiate pricing or price changes with customers.
• Participate and track LeanDNA projects.
• Assist in taking physical inventories, complete necessary cost rolls in product cost system, and complete corporate required reports related to inventory at year end.
• Provide finance support on the cycle count program for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist in annual budgeting, monthly/quarterly forecast preparation and review.
• Assist in collection of past‑due receivables; resolve open issues.
• Ensure Accounts Payable invoices paid per payment terms (3‑way matching).
• Reconcile inter‑company accounts.
• Assist in timely account reconciliations; maintain the accuracy of balance sheet accounts as required by company policy and SOX.
• Perform other duties deemed necessary by the Controller.

• Demonstrated effectiveness in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented organization; flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Solid project management and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Ability to effectively manage change and process improvement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Advanced Excel).

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Three+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance at an industrial manufacturing company.
• Preferred: CPA; IT system knowledge of SAP, MAPICS/Infor XA, One Stream.
