Responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective workflow in all pharmacy areas, including central, sterile, and satellite operations. This position handles and resolves complex issues and complaints, performs pharmacist duties as needed, and provides administrative support and supervision of pharmacy staff. This role trains and manages pharmacy team members, enforces departmental policies, and initiates development plans to ensure regulatory compliance and optimal service standards.

Other expectations include overseeing operations, including medication dispensing programs, pharmacy automation, and inventory management.

• Performs all pharmacist functions, actively participating in established standard work parameters and providing coverage in central and satellite pharmacy areas.
• Leads services in central pharmacy, IV room pharmacy, and satellite pharmacy areas.
• Accurately manages medication inventories, and prepares and dispenses patient-specific medication doses.
• Supervises technician, resident, and intern practice, prioritizes and organizes workflow, and checks accuracy of pharmacy technician activities.
• Completes critical medication order scrutiny, drug profile review, and patient monitoring to identify, prevent, or mitigate medication-related problems.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree
• 3 years of Work Experience
• Licensed Pharmacist
