Seeking LPNs, Paramedics, and EMTs for Plasma Donation Center

NOTE: Salary is based on licensure and experience.

Primary responsibilities for role:

Promote customer satisfaction through appropriate interaction and responsiveness to customer needs.

Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction with the center to support long-term donation.

Select suitable plasmapheresis donors by performing physical examinations and taking medical histories on all donors, following FDA-approved SOPs, current State and Federal guidelines, OSHA, CLIA, CGMP, internal procedures, and personal education and experience.

Ensure donor awareness of potential hazards.

Administer donor consent forms.

Provide donor education on health assessment trends identified at the Center.

Counsel donors regarding unacceptable test results.

Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events.

Assess history of illness or medications to ensure donor suitability.

Ensure donor medical information is complete and accurate prior to donation.

Review donor screening tests to confirm continued eligibility.

Assist in employee training and coaching on medical SOPs as necessary.

Support employee hepatitis vaccination programs.

Maintain supplies necessary for job duties.

Ensure proper sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work areas between donors.

Maintain donor and staff confidentiality.

Report unsafe situations or conditions to Center Management.

Perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements

Educated and licensed/certified in the state of employment as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (or equivalent), LPN, LVN, Paramedic, RN, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant.
Current CPR certification required.

Attributes:

Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and extreme cold. Personal protective equipment is required. The role involves standing, sitting, bending, twisting, hand and foot movements, light lifting, and communication skills. Visual and hearing acuity are essential.
