Base Pay Range

$18.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Assists the pharmacist in the prescription fulfillment process, operates pharmacy software and dispensing equipment, manages inventory, and provides customer service to members. Works in compliance with local, state and federal regulations, Walmart policies and procedures, and maintains a safe and organized pharmacy environment.

• Process member purchases using cash registers and related hardware, handling various payment types.
• Stock, rotate, and display merchandise; remove damaged or out‑of‑date items; set up cleaning and organization.
• Handle claims and returns, create signs, verify merchandise on hand, and arrange and organize supplies.
• Maintain accurate logs, paperwork, and documentation required by company policies.
• Resolve issues in prescription fulfillment, including insurance claim processing, partial fills, and pharmacist‑required authorizations.
• Assist patients with prescription orders, purchases, and providing information on pharmacy products and services.
• Enter prescription data into pharmacy software, transcribe prescription information, and modify patient records as needed.
• Fill prescriptions using dispensing equipment, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling.
• Assist with prescription pickup, verifying patient information, entering data into TaSCO, and securing restricted pharmaceutical items.
• Collaborate with managers, coworkers, and customers to prioritize and complete tasks; recommend improvements and adapt to change.
• Promote a culture of inclusion, integrity, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

• Meet all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician (age, registration, certification, or licensure as required).
• Obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT) within 9 months of job entry.

• Prior experience in a retail pharmacy environment.
• Knowledge of pharmacy software and dispensing equipment.
