IT Specialist - 2nd Shift

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday (8:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• New PC Setup, including appropriate software packages such as operating systems, networking components and office applications.
• Preforming Preventive Maintenance on PC hardware (Cleaning).
• Replace or Install hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives on users’ premises.
• Work on plant wide projects using hand tools, power tools, and mobile/areal equipment.
• Network cable installation and repair.
• Refers major hardware problems to service personnel for correction.
• Provide telephone, in-person and online support to end-users.
• Provide individual and group instruction, as needed, on the use of equipment and software, and on network features.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving all types of IT related issues.
• Other tasks as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related work experience.
• Must drive for company business, requiring a Motor Vehicle Records check with a favorable result meeting company policy requirements.
• Must work after hour calls when needed.
• Zero progressive discipline in the last 6 months (internal applicants)
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of PC hardware.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Networking.
• Microsoft DOS.
• Microsoft Office.
• Microsoft Server OS.
• Remote connection technologies.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work environment to include using a vertical lift to a height up to 50 feet.
• Exposure to noise, heat, and fumes as found in a repair or fabrication facility.
• Exposure to extreme weather conditions is possible.
