Production Technician

2nd Shift - M - F 3pm-11pm - 40 hours per week/ additional $1.50 per hour

• Works anywhere in the plant, as needed.
• Performs work as directed by supervision.
• Keeps the work area clean and organized.
• Moves glass from one rack to another to prepare for shipment.
• May spray powder between the panels of glass.
• Repeats the process until the rack is full.
• Secures the glass with binding, honeycomb strips and corner boards.
• Work elsewhere as directed by supervision.
• Reads and comprehends safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals, along with other similar documents.
• Requires the need to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Requires the ability to read a tape measure to 16ths.
• Produces a quality product in a timely manner.
• Wears all the required personal protective equipment for the specific job.
• Works as a Cardinal team member, not a specific department member.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Glass Handlers are expected to handle glass up to 50 pounds by themselves and any glass over 50 pounds, requires at least two people working together.
