Seeking BLOW MOLDING TECHNICIAN in Ocala, Florida

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, weekends and on-call as needed

Candidates must be flexible as needed due to 24/7 high speed production requirements.

This position reports to the Blow Molding Manager and is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, operating and overseeing high speed, high efficiency Uniloy continuous extrusion Blow Molding machines and part packaging lines. Daily supervision of equipment and Team Members to meet department production goals.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Oversee High Speed High Efficiency Blow Molding Machines and Part Packaging Lines
• Operate Blow Molding Machines, Start/Stop, Make set up Changes and Mold Changes
• Make appropriate adjustments to machines to affect efficient production levels and document appropriately; respond to quality issues
• Collaborate with Blow Molding Manager to Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
• Ensure Quality Standards of Parts and Manufacturing Processes are met
• Complete Routine Inspections of Product
• Ensure a safe work Environment
• Maintain a “Tour Ready” Facility that will meet or exceed any Customer, Inspector or Auditor Requirements. Organization, cleanliness, safety, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining the Safety and security of area, employees, visitors.
• Maintain Compliance with all regulatory agencies i.e.: OSHA, FDA, DEP and others dealt with to produce our product
• Ensure Machine reliability by performing preventative maintenance schedules
• Collaborate with Blow Molding Manager on Scheduling Preventative Maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on Production equipment as well as Auxiliary Equipment
• Communicate with Blow Molding Manger to ensure sufficient spare parts stock
• Support Blow Molding Manger in Hiring, Training, Supervising and Disciplining area personnel
• Supervise Production Team members and assist as needed to ensure efficiency and productivity
• Train and Develop Production Team Members
• Be Self-motivated to be able to work independently at times and possess a customer focused mentality
• Willing to work extended hours to meet customer needs including being on call
• Consistent and reliable attendance is critical

All other duties and responsibilities assigned by the department manager and/or senior management.

Must have mechanical ability, aptitude and experience in bottle manufacturing preferred for our hands-on environment. Experience with Uniloy equipment helpful. Experience, with continuous extrusion blow molding machines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Knowledge of IBWA Standards
• Math skills.
• Analytical thinking skills.
• Strong Mechanical ability.
• Ability to Learn and understand Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems.
• Read Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Schematics.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Experience:

Manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)

Must be knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Education:

High school or equivalent (Required)
