Champion Home Builders, Inc. is seeking a General Construction Production worker to join our team in the Ocala, FL facility.

Position Summary: Under general supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing, as part of a team, and perform quality work at a fast moving and consistent manner.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform all manual labor in the assigned area.
• Keep area neat and clean.
• Read and use a tape measure.
• Read blueprints and orders.
• Communicate well with coworkers.
• Use hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools.

Competencies:

• Ability to work quickly and methodically.
• Understand safety procedures.
• Good teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

• Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience in construction and/or manufacturing/modular housing desired.

Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Frequently required to walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
