OverviewThe Logistic Team Leader manages their team’s activity and organizes their work to achieve the defined objectives. They are a line manager responsible for the quality of the work carried out in compliance with internal processes, health and safety rules, and customer specifications.
Responsibilities- Plans, manages, and controls teamwork, defines clear rules, objectives, and expectations.
- Communicates the roadmap and final goals, knows team members and their key motivations to inspire and reward them.
- Sets up a periodic routine (briefs) for communication, monitoring, and measuring activity and objectives.
- Encourages and supports the team through random and formal feedback (recognition, improvement, reframing) and provides required training.
- Promotes process improvement and encourages participation in internal innovation programs.
- Scales workforce and equipment according to volume forecasts, prioritizes operations based on field constraints, and provides supervision.
- Maintains regular communication with the customer and coordinates execution of specific requirements.
- Applies health and safety rules and procedures of locally and within the area of responsibility.
- Analyzes equipment checklists and ensures corrective actions are taken per procedures, anticipating operational problems to propose continuous improvement actions.
- Manages audit and quality procedures: organizes the workplace, verifies updated procedures, and responds to audits as per certifications.
- Provides and monitors key performance indicators, ensures continuity of information between the team, hierarchy, and internal partners.
- Analyzes and communicates deviations between planned and actual values, initiating corrective measures in coordination with operational management.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- A‑level to 2 years of study in higher education or equivalent through experience.
- Training in transport, logistics and management.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in a team leadership function.
