Welder​/Fabricator

Hours

Monday – Thursday (6 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) (Four 10-hour days)

Commensurate with experience and skills. Your current abilities and willingness to learn will be your advancement control. Once trained, overtime is available. Health insurance after 90-days; dental offered; paid vacation; paid holidays.

• All applicants will be required to have a background check and drug testing.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must have experience welding, fabricating, and cutting of steel with torch/ plasma cutter.
• Must be able to interpret blueprints and welding diagrams and read a tape measure.
• Have a working knowledge of:
• GTAW Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG &HF TIG)
• SMAW Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick)
• GMAW Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG)
• FCAW Flux Core Arc Welding.

• Managed individual projects, directed co-workers, partnered with supervisors to communicate progress target date for completion of work.
• Utilized assorted 6010, 7018, 7024 electrodes and ER70S, 309L filler metals.
• Welded plate & structural steel in accordance with AWS D1.1 codes and standards.
• Welded mild steel pipe in accordance with AMSE Section IX.
• Ran overlapping beads, performed butt, fillet, socket & groove welds.
• Welded plate & structural steel in the flat, vertical, horizontal & overhead positions.
• Welded stainless steel & aluminum in accordance with Military Standard 1595A
• Measured, cut prepared & fitted segments of structural steel.
• Experienced in operating hand torches, Plasma Arc, Air Carbon Arc Gouging, and Grinders.
