Overview
Energy Pellets of America is currently hiring for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician at our Ocala, Florida Facility. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and repairs on a wide range of equipment, including wood pellet mills, hammer mills, drum dryers, dust collectors, hydraulics, augers, conveyor belts, drag chains, and air compressors. Additional responsibilities include maintaining overhead doors, dock plates, lighting, electrical systems, and performing light concrete, plumbing, drywall, painting, and metal siding work.
The technician monitors daily plant operations to ensure all equipment operates at peak performance, troubleshoots and identifies root causes of downtime, and performs necessary machinery repairs. This role also involves developing and implementing preventative maintenance procedures, keeping detailed records of maintenance activities and inspections, and identifying opportunities for equipment and robotic improvements. The technician may design and fabricate parts for repairs or new installations, must adhere to all safety protocols, and perform other duties as needed.
Must have 3-5 years of confirmed Industrial Maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of augers, conveyor belts, drag chain conveyors, gear reducers, chain/direct drive systems, automated/mechanical lubrication systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, air compressors
- Welding and fabrication
- Understanding of Blueprints (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, etc)
- Knowledge of industrial three phase electricity, robotics, automated equipment a plus
- Ability to communicate with the manufacturer of the equipment
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs
- Ability to stand on concrete for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- Proactive, self-motivated, and strong ability to multitask
- Well organized, sell motivated, and possess problem solving skills
- Valid driver’s License
