Responsibilities
The Vines Hospital is currently recruiting for a FT RN to join our Admissions Department
The Admissions RN is responsible for performing all aspects of The Vines Hospital’s intake and admission process, including handling inquiry calls efficiently, communicating with referral sources, providing hospital and program information to individuals, agencies, facilities, and professionals; making outside referrals when appropriate; assessing and triaging an individual’s mental health status; making patient safety and level of care recommendations to The Vines Hospital’s physician;
identifying insurance benefits and pre-certification of patient care; completing all admission requirements; communicating patient safety concerns and pertinent patient information to unit nursing staff and documenting all necessary information in Med Series 4. The RN will review packets, accept and admit patients. This position requires a person to work with minimal supervision and will work with all facility units: business office, medical staff, medical records, utilization review, marketing, and nursing.
This position also qualifies for our $5,000.00 retention bonus!
Shift: 7:00am-7:30pm

QualificationsEducation: Associate degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years experience in the mental health field preferred. Previous assessment experience required.
License: Licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse required.
Skills: Excellent communication skills. Ability to relate to those emotionally disturbed and in crisis.
