Job Summary and QualificationsThe OPS RN Manager in collaboration with the Perioperative Director creates a common vision to facilitate continuous quality improvement in the delivery of patient care in support of the organization's mission and vision. The OPS RN Manager, in collaboration with the Perioperative Nursing Director, assumes the role of leader in planning, organizing, coaching and facilitating their intraoperative department functions and staff to assure quality service on a 24‑hour basis.
The OPS RN Manager and the Perioperative Director are responsible for meeting JCAHO Standards, complying with the organization's policy and procedures, for managing supplies and equipment on their unit(s), for promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, for promoting internal and external customer satisfaction, and for appropriate resource management. The OPS RN Manager has the direct‑line responsibility for day‑to‑day operations and overall responsibility for the outpatient perioperative services department (including pre‑admission testing areas), ensuring that all staff has effective management, good communication and appropriate discipline.
The OPS Nurse Manager is responsible for the implementation and evaluation of all nursing care and related activities. The job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor, and the employee must have the same licensure or have completed the same training to satisfy the requirements of the discipline of the student. Direct supervision means the primary caregiver is readily available to the student throughout the shift.
What qualifications you will need:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- NIH certification within 90 days of hire
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Associate Degree
- 1 – 3 years of nursing leadership experience required
Location and Salary:
Summerfield, FL $55,000.00 – $65,000.00
