Responsibilities

The Vines Hospital is currently recruiting for a FT RN to join our Admissions Department. The Admissions RN is responsible for performing all aspects of the intake and admission process, including handling inquiry calls, communicating with referral sources, providing hospital and program information, making outside referrals, assessing and triaging mental health status, recommending level of care to the physician, identifying insurance benefits, pre‑certifying care, completing admission requirements, communicating patient safety concerns, and documenting all necessary information in Med Series 4.

The RN will review packets, accept and admit patients. This position requires working with minimal supervision and collaborates with the business office, medical staff, medical records, utilization review, marketing, and nursing.

This position also qualifies for a $5,000 retention bonus!

Shift: 7:00pm-7:30am.

We are located in picturesque Marion County, FL. The county is known as the Horse Capital of the World. Education: Associate degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years experience in the mental health field preferred. Previous assessment experience required.

License: Licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse required.

Skills: Excellent communication skills. Ability to relate to those emotionally disturbed and in crisis.
