Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients with acute or chronic wounds. Your expertise in wound assessment, treatment, and management will play a crucial role in promoting healing and preventing complications.

Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough assessments of patients' wounds, including measurement, staging, and documentation.
  • Develop and implement individualized wound care plans based on patients' specific needs and medical history.
  • Administer wound care treatments such as dressing changes, debridement, and application of topical medications.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and self-management strategies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Qualifications
  • Valid nursing license in the state of FL.
  • Proven experience as a Wound Care Nurse or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of wound assessment, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices.
  • Proficiency in performing procedures such as IV insertion, dermal fillers, neonatal ventilator management, spinal tap, etc.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with case management principles is preferred.
