Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director of Emergency Services ensures high-quality, patient-centered care through oversight of unit staffing, forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. The role fosters accountability, collaboration, and the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures that support facility objectives.

Major Responsibilities
  • Quality
    :
    Implements evidence-based practices to advance patient safety and outcomes, ensures adherence to care standards, manages clinical variation, maintains equipment, and improves patient throughput.
  • Service
    :
    Leads to attain an unparalleled patient experience, uses feedback mechanisms to benchmark performance, and collaborates with experts to enhance service delivery.
  • People
    :
    Cultivates a culture that values and engages employees, identifies training needs, provides coaching, and retains top talent.
  • Growth
    :
    Partners with administration and physicians to develop new services, identify expansion opportunities, and promote differentiation.
  • Finance
    :
    Participates in budget planning, monitors performance, ensures effective labor and resource management, and implements cost-saving actions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education plan required.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • 1+ years applicable experience required.
  • 3+ years applicable experience preferred.
