Veterinarian - Sarasota, Florida | No weekends, on-call, or emergencies

Southgate Animal Hospital in Sarasota, Florida, is looking for an experienced veterinarian to join our 2‑doctor team.

We’re searching for a compassionate veterinarian that values collaboration, enjoys a varied caseload, and will fit in perfectly with our positive culture.
We’re an excellent choice for veterinarians of all experience levels. Must be licensed, or able to become licensed, in the state of Florida for consideration.

This is a full‑time role with flexible scheduling and weekends off
. There are no emergency or on‑call services for this position, thanks to our partnership with a nearby Urgent Vet.

• Ability to collaborate with our 2 DVMs and talented support team
• Have a strong ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
• Build and uphold existing relationships with the local Sarasota community
• Be hardworking, honest, and confident in your abilities
• An interest in orthopedic surgery (including TPLO) is a plus, but not required
• Experience with exotics and/or pocket pets is a plus, but not required

At Southgate Animal Hospital, our DVM team has nearly two decades of combined experience. Dr. Siljestrom specializes in surgery and is committed to providing the most current (and least invasive) surgical techniques. Dr. McNamee performs acupuncture and loves cytology, neurology, ophthalmology, and dentistry. Our team primarily sees small animals, however, we also see exotics and pocket pets (namely reptiles, bobcats, racoons, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and rats).

We have a collaborative team and are well‑equipped with digital x‑ray, ultrasound, cold/therapy laser, and more.
