The World Equestrian Center – Ocala is seeking a highly skilled and disciplined Cook l to join the culinary team at White Willow
; our refined Asian dining concept located within the prestigious Equestrian Manor. This advanced-level role is ideal for a culinary professional with mastery in and a deep understanding of Japanese flavor profiles, and a commitment to excellence in execution.
As Cook l at White Willow, you will be responsible for preparing dishes with precision, artistry, and consistency. Your expertise will reflect the World Equestrian Center’s core values of Quality, Class, and Distinction

- Execute robata-grilled and wok-fired dishes with expert technique, consistency, and attention to flavor, texture, and presentation, upholding luxury culinary standards.
- Maintain station readiness across assigned areas—including mise en place, equipment setup, and ingredient preparation—to ensure seamless service.
- Monitor cooking temperatures, timing, and techniques to deliver optimal results and maintain consistency across all dishes.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely, coordinated service and smooth transitions between stations.
- Step into multiple roles as needed, including wok, robata, fry, sushi prep, demonstrating versatility and finesse.
- Support private dining and special events with elevated offerings tailored to guest expectations and seasonal themes.
- Assist in training junior cooks, fostering a culture of excellence, discipline, and continuous learning.
- Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials through creative input and execution of new dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all assigned stations and surrounding areas, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace.
- Uphold strict food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations and internal protocols.
- Promote a respectful and collaborative kitchen environment, contributing positively to team morale and professional conduct.

Skills and Abilities
- Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in upscale or fine dining kitchens, with proficiency across multiple stations.
- Advanced culinary skills and adaptability in high-pressure environments.
- Strong understanding of Asian flavor profiles and cooking techniques.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Serv Safe Certification required.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Mastery of robata technique, heat control, and ingredient handling.
