Position: Full‑Time
Our Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition and helps establish Lens Crafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. By delivering legendary customer service and perfectly crafted high‑quality eyewear, you exceed customers’ expectations.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet customers and set expectations
- Custom‑fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses
- Lead by demonstrating optical acumen
- Take & record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards & customer needs
- Assist team with complex product needs & prescriptions
- Accurately use technology under time pressure, demonstrating product knowledge and use of appropriate tools
- Proactively explore root cause of issues, forward‑think, and ensure customers are satisfied with solutions
- Multi‑task, prioritize & manage time amid competing priorities
- Strive to achieve exceptional results on brand KPIs & competencies
- Take pride in store appearance, keeping store clean, attractive & organized
- Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices
- Show resourcefulness, self‑motivation, and desire for continual learning, improvement & results
- Adhere to company policies & procedures, including discounts, promotions & inventory management
Basic Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- State licensure
- Optical dispensing experience
- Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener & team builder
- Knowledge of current store merchandise
- Strong basic math skills
- Awareness of current fashion trends
- Selling skills – ability to use & carry an iPad/tablet
- Familiarity with POS, computers & calculators
- Embrace new technology & change
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service & retail experience
