Position OverviewGuitar Center encourages staff to find their own unique sound while creating inclusive environments that put customers first. As a Repair Technician, you will perform maintenance and repair services on customer‑owned instruments and help maintain store inventory, building and increasing business through excellent customer experience and quality work.
Essential Characteristics- Customer Focus: Understands customer service principles and provides an excellent experience. Approachably, knowledgeable, encouraging, and committed to solving customer issues.
- Initiative: Identifies opportunities & issues and follows through without being asked. Learns quickly and develops knowledge of products, store operations, sales, and leadership.
- Sales: Works through the GC certification program to gain a base understanding of products and sales techniques.
- Training: Effectively trains learners and communicates info and techniques so they are retained.
- Interact with customers, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Service customer‑owned instruments with a high level of craftsmanship.
- Maintain store‑owned gear, as requested.
- Complete warranty repair work.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Skilled understanding of repairing guitars.
- Foundational product knowledge of Guitar Center products.
