Responsibilities- Safeguard college personnel, property, and grounds; patrol the campus as directed.
- Assist with parking and traffic control, including vehicle flow regulation and issuance of citations for violations of CF Traffic and Parking Regulations.
- Provide assistance to motorists such as jump‑starts or key lock‑outs.
- Verify the security of vending machines and all exterior entrances to buildings.
- Act as first responder to accidents and contact Fire Rescue or Ocala Police Department when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with Board of Trustees rules and instructions for use of college grounds and facilities.
- Prepare and issue photographic identification cards, parking decals, and permits; retrieve pertinent data from computer records.
- Prepare written reports at the end of each shift, noting any potential or actual safety hazards and unusual activity.
- Perform incidental clerical work within the Security Building, such as writing routine reports and answering the telephone.
- Raise and lower the national and Florida flags.
- Other duties as assigned.

Prerequisites for Position (Qualification Standards)- Florida Class D Security Officer license or obtain a Class D license within the first six months of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred).
- Minimum two years of full‑time security or police‑type experience (preferred).
- Ability to comprehend and comply with written and oral instructions.
- Ability to control vehicular traffic and crowds.
- Ability to maintain composure, exercise proper judgment, and handle stressful situations.
- Computer literacy or ability to learn system operation to retrieve data from computer records.
- Current Florida driver’s license.
- Normal vision, correctable to 20/20; normal hearing and speech to use a telephone.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to write and handle small objects such as locks and keys.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods and climb stairs; ability to run if necessary and maneuver in small spaces.
- Ability to work in all climate conditions, both indoor and outdoor.
- Ability to correctly administer CPR and first aid.
- Willingness to work any shift.
- Acceptable eyesight and hearing (with or without correction).
- Clear oral and written communication on telephone and computer for extended periods.
- Routine sitting at a desk and viewing a display screen for extended periods.
- Routine moderate lifting and carrying (up to 40 pounds).
- Routine walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, reaching, twisting, and bending.
- Ability to drive a college vehicle.
- Works outside in various weather conditions.

Security Building.
Supervisor of position:
Manager Public Safety, Coordinator ‑ Facilities AMA, Coordinator ‑ Maintenance Citrus or designated supervisor.
