PDS is seeking 2 crew leads and 4 labor hands for restoration work, including sidewalk/driveway repairs and road cut repairs, with potential for other specialty cuts. The position involves 45-50 hours per week, with possible overtime for emergency jobs. Applicants with a commercial driver’s license are encouraged to apply.

The foreman will be responsible for:

• Organizing and managing multiple 3-5 person crews, ensuring safety and DOT compliance, and completing daily paperwork.
• Reading, measuring, marking, and recording work areas.
• Assisting with storm water regulatory compliance.
• Coordinating crew performance.
• Operating and maintaining various construction equipment such as skid steers, tractors, power tools, and hand tools.

Primary Requirements:

• Minimum five years of experience in construction or utility distribution preferred.
• Knowledge of restoration and concrete procedures is a plus.
• At least 1 year of experience supervising employees preferred.
• Understanding of industry fundamentals and safety hazards.
• Prior construction experience required.
• Knowledge of safety zones around equipment like backhoes, bore rigs, and air compressors.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift/move 50 pounds.
• Continuous standing, walking on uneven surfaces, stooping, kneeling, crouching, speaking, and hearing.

Work Environment:

• Outdoor weather conditions.
• Exposure to wet, cold, hot, humid conditions, and loud noise.
• Potential exposure to traffic.
