- Conduct all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations. Wear proper personal protective equipment.
- Attend and successfully complete required technician training classes.
- Maintain the necessary set of tools required for job performance to diagnose, disassemble and assemble components to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company owned equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs.
- Work in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways of improving the methods of work, work area, and safety standards.
- Inspect components to ensure maximum parts are reused to control repair costs. Complete required documentation using appropriate software to document repairs performed on equipment and account for repair times.
- Monitor job expenses versus repair estimates and ensure that the supervisor is aware of any cost over‑run prior to the job being completed.
- Approach work in a positive manner, maintain conduct that is supportive of the work team and set the standard for others to follow. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Train and/or mentor others in the department. Assume supervisory position temporarily, as necessary.
