Hours: Dependent on Flight Instruction and Private Pilot Needs
Compensation: Commensurate with experience and skills. Full-time; paid holiday and vacation time; health insurance available after 90-days.
Qualifications- A valid Private Pilot License (PPL) issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or the equivalent governing body in the region.
- CFII Certification with a passion for aviation.
- A medical certificate issued by an FAA-approved aviation medical examiner, confirming physical fitness to fly.
- Minimum 500 hours of logged flight time.
Experienced in both VFR and IFR. - Certified for single-engine and multi-engine aircraft; qualified to instruct in both as well.
- Experience as a pilot in command (PIC) of different types of aircraft.
- Provide private pilot services for business trips, ensuring efficiency and flexibility.
- Operate aircraft safely and professionally while adhering to aviation regulations; monitor weather conditions before and during the flight to make adjustments or changes to the flight plan; adhere to federal aviation regulations (FARs) and other relevant aviation standards to ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and the aircraft.
- Provide both ground and flight instruction to beginner pilots on both single-engine and multi-engine planes: teach aviation theory and how to operate and navigate aircraft, including takeoff, landing, and in-flight maneuvers; guide students in understanding flight planning, weather conditions, and aviation regulations; and demonstrate and enforce best safety practices, both on the ground and in the air.
- Ensure all flight operations adhere to federal aviation regulations (FARs) and other relevant standards.
- Evaluate students’ progress and skills through flight evaluations and written tests and provide constructive feedback and additional training where necessary to help students improve; help students learn how to properly plan flights, including route selection, fuel calculation, and weight distribution; help students maintain records of training progress, flight hours, and certifications.
