Job Title: Starbucks Shift Supervisor
Location: 17th St Starbucks, Ocean City
Responsibilities- Lead and supervise baristas during assigned shifts to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Must be available for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Schedule may vary based on store needs.
- Act as the supervisor on duty, supporting the team and ensuring adherence to Starbucks’ operational policies and procedures.
- Prepare and serve beverages and food items, maintaining beverage quality and consistency.
- Train, mentor, and coach new and existing team members on service standards and store procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including preparing registers, balancing tills, and securing cash deposits.
- Monitor store cleanliness and sanitation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in managing inventory, stocking supplies, and monitoring product levels.
- Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Support scheduling adjustments and staffing coverage during peak hours.
- Model Starbucks’ mission and values, fostering teamwork, inclusivity, and a positive store culture.
- Promote seasonal offerings, loyalty programs, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the General Manager.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience- At least one year of food and beverage or customer service experience required.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and handle customer concerns professionally.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.

2 – 12 baristas per shift
This role requires prolonged periods of standing and walking during shifts. Must be able to operate café equipment such as espresso machines and blenders safely. The individual must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, bend, and reach as needed. Clear verbal communication is required to interact with customers and team members.
