Base pay range

$9.00/hr – $13.00/hr

To teach, supervise and ensure a nurturing environment for Pre‑K children. Also, to support the child‑care program in providing quality care that will be safe, affirming, enjoyable and enriching to children.

• Understands and demonstrates that attendance and punctuality are vital.
• Responsible for planning and implementing the program’s curriculum and approved bible devotionals daily.
• Ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all times.
• Directly responsible for keeping the classroom and class restroom clean at all times (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing).
• Turn in weekly lesson plans and newsletter information to the Director of Childcare Services.
• Be familiar with emergency procedures and follow them.
• Ensure children are supervised at all times and proper adult‑to‑child ratios required by the State of Mississippi are maintained.
• Establish routines and provide positive guidance, implementing positive discipline when required.
• Observe children and record progress by developmental assessments.
• Discuss child’s progress and keep open communication with parents.
• Maintain a professional relationship with parents and co‑workers.
• Ensure roll call is taken, accurate and head count is accurate throughout the day.
• Perform any and all other related duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years of age and bondable.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of instructional experience in a licensed childcare facility is required.
• Ability to adapt to the center's needs and hours.
• Current child/adult CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be eligible and pass MSDH background check.

• Walking, squatting, climbing, hearing, standing for periods longer than one hour, pushing (50 lbs.), lifting (50 lbs.), sitting, pulling (50 lbs.), speaking, and vision.
• Must be able to lift and move In The Zone equipment properly as needed.
• Must be physically able to participate in high‑energy activities with students.
