Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support the payroll team of a growing manufacturing and distribution company. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, keeping employee records organized, and making sure payroll information is accurate before each processing deadline. The successful candidate will help maintain timekeeping records, research discrepancies, and coordinate with supervisors and HR to resolve missing punches, incorrect hours, and employee information changes.

• Review employee timesheets, timecards, and attendance records for accuracy.
• Enter payroll data and verify regular hours, overtime, PTO, and other applicable earnings.
• Follow up with department supervisors regarding missing punches or unapproved timecards.
• Update employee payroll records for new hires, terminations, pay-rate changes, and direct deposit updates.
• Assist with payroll processing and verify data before submission.
• Research discrepancies involving hours worked, deductions, and pay statements.
• Respond to routine employee questions regarding timekeeping and payroll.
• Maintain confidential payroll files and supporting documentation.
• Prepare payroll reports and assist with reconciliations and internal audits.
• Partner with HR and accounting to ensure employee records remain accurate and current.
