Biological Sciences Instructor – Human Anatomy & Human Physiology
Mira Costa College’s Biological Sciences department invites applications for one equity‑minded, full‑time (10 months per year) tenure‑track position beginning in August 2026.
ResponsibilitiesPrincipal responsibilities include instruction in Human Anatomy (BIO
210) and Human Physiology (BIO
220). The selected instructor will collaborate with other full‑time instructors in coordinating and developing curriculum, utilizing culturally responsive pedagogical techniques, and overseeing the overall program.
Mira Costa College Board Policy 7800 requires all full‑time faculty to maintain and permanently reside in a principal place of residence in the state of California within 200 miles of the employee’s regularly assigned district worksite. The policy promotes efficiency and continuity throughout campus administrative functions, provides students with high quality assistance and accessibility to academic and campus services, ensures students receive an engaging education, and responds to emerging student needs.
The district may consider a temporary residence outside California or outside the 200‑mile limit on a case‑by‑case basis, not to exceed twelve consecutive months.
Initial salary placement ranges from $88,852 (class I, step
