The college is accepting applications to build a pool of instructors for possible future part‑time assignments teaching NURS 160 – Certified Nursing Assistant (lecture and/or clinical). Instructors may be assigned to any campus or authorized facility and assignments may include days, evenings, or weekends.

• Plan, organize and teach assigned courses in an instructional field or discipline in accordance with approved course outlines, education code requirements and faculty contract provisions.
• Provide feedback and guidance to students and evaluate student performance.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• Profound knowledge of basic nursing skills, fundamentals of nursing, nutrition, gerontology, and home nursing (as taught in NURS 160).
• Teaching or instructional experience preferred.
• Residency Requirement:
  Must maintain and permanently reside in a principal place of residence in California within 200 road miles of the regularly assigned district worksite, or meet the exception criteria outlined in Mira Costa College Board Policy 7800.

$89.79 to $105.04 per hour. Compensation is based on education.

Applications are valid through June 30, 2026, at which time they will expire. A new posting for this pool will appear on July 1, 2026, and those still interested will need to re‑apply at that time.
