We are exclusively representing a leading distributor of electronic test and measurement equipment. They are looking to hire multiple repair technicians and calibration techs for their Oceanside site.

Senior Repair Technician – Advanced Technology

The Senior Repair Technician is responsible for testing, calibrating, and performing minor repairs and adjustments on electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments. This position ensures compliance with OEM performance tests, procedures, and quality standards. The role requires multitasking, including operating multiple benches at once to perform both automated and manual calibrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and apply test manuals, specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine appropriate testing methods and standards.
  • Perform alignments, adjustments, minor repairs, and calibrations in accordance with service manuals and established procedures.
  • Document all calibration, repair, and testing activities; evaluate results to determine pass/fail status.
  • Calibrate equipment in the following core areas:
    General Purpose, Power Supplies, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers.
  • Manage daily workload efficiently; update task status through the Work Order Program and respond quickly to information requests.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
  • Interpret and adjust test sequences when necessary, including adapting standards to meet requirements.
  • Keep current with firmware and platform updates; upgrade Windows-based equipment using flash drives, floppy disks, or LAN connections; configure network settings for updates as needed.
  • Perform all functions required of a Calibration Laboratory Technician I.
  • Mentor and train other calibration technicians on testing procedures and best practices.
  • Take ownership of product quality and compliance with standards.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.
