Knitting Technician – Lonati Specialist

Southern California

An innovative manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Lonati Knitting Technician to support technical innovation and product development within a modern knitting development center. This role plays a key part in advancing circular knit sock technology and contributing to the evolution of performance and lifestyle knitwear.

In this position, you will be responsible for creating advanced machine programs, engineering new knit structures, and maximizing the capabilities of Lonati SbyS machinery. You will work closely with design and development partners to translate technical concepts and CAD designs into high-quality, production‑ready products for global brands.

This role offers a collaborative and creative environment, access to global technical resources, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future of circular knitting in the U.S.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, day shift or night shift

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, adjust, and perform technical service on Lonati SbyS development machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex knitting issues, fine‑tuning programs to maximize machine uptime, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Develop and optimize machine programs to support new product development and innovation.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to support a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and open communication within development teams.
Qualifications
  • Advanced experience operating and programming Lonati SbyS sock knitting machines.
  • Strong technical understanding of yarn behavior, needle selection, and knit structures.
  • Proven problem‑solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
