Registered Nurse (RN)

General Purpose
The primary responsibility of this position is to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility.

• Supervise and direct nursing staff, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Develop, maintain, and update nursing policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs.
• Plan and schedule shift staffing, monitor absenteeism, and perform shift coverage.
• Ensure accurate documentation, charting, and reporting of resident care plans and medical orders.
• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges, and participate in discharge planning.
• Participate in facility committees (Infection Control, Quality Assessment, etc.) and implement committee recommendations.
• Provide direct nursing care, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and support physician assessment and treatment.
• Conduct daily rounds, assess resident status, and advise physicians on clinical needs.
• Assist in employee performance evaluations, staffing decisions, and disciplinary action.
• Maintain safe environment by enforcing infection control, hazardous materials, and safety protocols.

• Active RN license in the state; CPR certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent; 2+ years in long‑term care preferred.
• Current knowledge of nursing laws, regulations, and best practices for residential facilities.
• Strong clinical judgment, decision‑making, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and medication administration procedures.

Requires ability to move throughout the facility, lift up to 25 pounds, communicate with residents and staff, and adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
