Piper restaurant, located at The Seabird Resort in sunny Oceanside, CA. Guest enjoy fresh, handmade pastas and garden-to-table delicacies in a bright, convivial, California-coastal setting just off the beach. Restaurant is open in the morning for breakfast and freshly pressed juice. By night, Piper transforms into a warmly intimate space with an open kitchen, craft pasta station, full bar and wraparound outdoor patio.

This position will be responsible for submitting guest menu selections and presenting these food and beverage preferences. The right person will gain menu knowledge and give recommendations from our compilation of cuisine and drink offerings. A Piper restaurant server will engage in casual conversation and create the restaurant experience by their style and service attributes. Other duties include general restaurant preparation and maintaining a sanitary environment.

The hourly rate for this position is $17.00/hr

• Provide warm, humble and knowledgeable service throughout the property
• Liaise with restaurant and outlet operations staff to ensure a seamless guest experience
• Positive attitude with initial greetings of guests
• Strictly adhere to all alcohol safety requirements and  procedures
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and flexible, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints
• Ability to listen, communicate, and make connections with locals, guests, & colleagues

Qualification:

• 1+ years as Server experience.
• Restaurant food knowledge
• Be hyper-aware of guest perception & interactions
• A person of integrity; fair and consistent
• Ability to work collaboratively across the organization, and help foster a good working environment
• Ability to work cleanly and quickly in a fast passed environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safe and successfully with federal, state, and local standards
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk actively for 8 hours
• Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height
