YourImpact as a Licensed Veterinary Technician
Note: The title varies statewide; responsibilities will be outlined by the state Veterinary Practice Act and the responsible veterinarian.
- Utilize Your Full Skillset – provide comprehensive patient care, administer treatments, monitor anesthesia, and perform lab work.
- Be a Leader and Mentor – guide the medical team, ensure efficient workflow, and mentor others.
- Partner with Clients – serve as a key point of contact, educate owners, review records, and answer questions.
- Contribute to a Positive Culture – assist with training, give feedback, and maintain high standards.
- Patient Care & Procedures – venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, lab work.
- Surgical Support – assist in advanced procedures, prepare patients, and ensure smooth recoveries.
- Treatments & Record Keeping – administer medications, fill prescriptions, maintain accurate medical records.
- Client Communication – educate and support pet owners with empathy.
- Hospital Support – deliver compassionate care for hospitalized patients.
- Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or ability to transfer credentials.
- Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology.
- 2+ years of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician (preferred).
- Flexibility to thrive in a fast‑paced, 24‑hour surgical hospital environment.
- Comfortable with technology, surgical procedures, and client interactions.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and support patients of all sizes.
- A team player with strong communication skills and a passion for animals.
