Description
Global Service Management-Operations (GSM-O), a Defense and Intelligence Group of Leidos, has an opening for a Services Watch Officer at the DISA Joint Operations Center (DJOC) on Ft. Meade, MD.
This position requires U.S. citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance.
As the Services Watch Officer, you will enable Command and Control of the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) by ensuring its overall health through 24/7 monitoring, directing, controlling, coordinating, de-conflicting, synchronizing, and reporting the current status of DISA Application and End Point Systems availability, as well as Senior VIP operational impact tickets, while supporting the DISA Joint Operations Center (DJOC), DJOC Battle Captains, and DISA Current Operations senior leaders.
This position is a shift work position and would require you to work 9:00pm - 5:00am with at least 1 weekend shift per week. This position may also potentially require you to work on holidays.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide situational awareness (SA) of DISN hosted, cloud, and endpoint services, including both DISA-provided and hosted services.
- Maintain and provide timely situational awareness, reasons for outage (RFO) and restoration effort POA&Ms for reportable incidents escalated by the DJOC Battle Captain within 15 minutes.
- Review and monitor dashboards and incident management tools for proactive incident validation and reporting, coordinating with DISA Net Ops elements, mission partners, CCMDs, MILDEP, and DAFA as required.
- Execute in real time, in accordance with mission requirements: track current outages that will impact the DODIN; track upcoming and current Change Management tickets; provide timely reporting for all reportable outages through published reports that ascend to the DJOC Battle Captain, the DISA Director and other Senior Leaders.
- Act as an active participant in Contingency Support and the Emergency Readiness Group (ERG), performing duty functions at customer off‑site facilities within the DC Metro area.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and 6+ years of overall related experience; 4+ years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with Microsoft technologies such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
- Experience with system applications including Global Ticket Management System (GTMS) Remedy, Worldwide Online System (WWOLS), NCCM‑R, or Telecommunications Certification Office Support System (TCOSS).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Flexibility, dependability, and ability to multi‑task with priorities.
- DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE.
- ITIL V3 or V4 certification.
- Experience briefing senior leaders.
- Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service.
