Summary:
Photography Lab Assistants are responsible for assisting the faculty in running the photo lab. Responsibilities may include organization, opening and closing lab facilities, monitoring studio and lab usage, troubleshooting equipment including but not limited to strobes, cameras, enlargers, printers, and minor computer issues. You will be trained how to troubleshoot printing of images. Minor cleaning responsibilities along with managing the basic organization of the studio and labs, and equipment check out under the guidance of photo faculty as needed.
Position Duties
- Familiarity with Mac Computers
- Knowledge of Adobe software related to photography
- Planned, enrolled in, or completion of ARTS 2356, ARTS 2357, and ARTS 2348 or evidence of experience in a photo darkroom and film development, familiarity with manual operation of cameras, and basic post processing of digital imagery
- Must be a current OC Student; preferred Photography major
- Experience in photo darkroom and film development
- Manual operation of cameras
- Post-processing digital imagery
